Good to know
Does PA use my airtime or data?
No. PA's calls to you are made by your phone itself, so they cost nothing and work offline. Only when you tap “Call James” does your phone make a normal call on your SIM, charged by your network like any call.
Will it ring if my phone is locked or I restart it?
Yes. PA uses Android's alarm system, so it rings on time even when the phone is locked or asleep, and it plans your reminders again after a restart. The first time you open myvirpa it shows you the settings to switch on.
Can PA talk to the other person for me?
Not yet. Android doesn't allow apps to speak into a normal phone call. PA reminds you, and one tap calls the person or opens your message to them. Calls that speak for you are planned for paid plans.
Does PA send SMS by itself?
PA prepares the message for you and you tap Send. Automatic SMS is planned for the Personal plan.
Is there an iPhone app?
myvirpa is on Android first. iPhone will follow.
What happens to my information?
Your reminders stay on your phone. We don't have your contacts, calls or messages. Read the privacy policy.
